Baie-Saint-Paul, September 3, 2024 – As always, Promutuel Insurance du Lac au Fleuve is committed to getting involved in the communities where it operates and is delighted to launch the seventh edition of the “In the Heart of Your Community” initiative. This year, up to $300,00 in grants will be awarded to organizations to carry out promising projects for the community.
Since the program’s inception in 2015, Promutuel Insurance du Lac au Fleuve has made it possible to carry out 324 initiatives by awarding $1,178,000 to organizations for the essential continuation of their work in their respective communities.
The importance of community organizations is well established. They are increasing their efforts in the face of ever-increasing demand. The aim of “In the Heart of Your Community” is to support and encourage them in implementing projects that will benefit the community. “Helping one another and working together are among the values that inspired our Group. We are extremely proud to promote them by launching this new edition,” said Martine Thériault, Board Chair of Promutuel Insurance du Lac au Fleuve.
Interested organizations can submit their project by completing the form available on our website at Au cœur de votre collectivité - Promutuel Assurance du Lac au Fleuve until October 9, 2024. A jury will then deliberate to select the most promising projects and determine the financial support they will receive, if any. Selected projects will be announced in the first week of November.
Coup de cœur awards
Spurred by the enthusiasm of the past two years, the Coup de cœur awards will be back again this year. Following the jury’s deliberations, the five highest-scoring projects in each of the five regions (Charlevoix, Côte-Nord, Côte-de-Beaupré, Kamouraska, and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean) will be put to a public vote to determine their Regional “Coup de cœur.” The organization with the highest number of votes will be declared the region’s “2024 Coup de cœur” and will automatically receive $5,000 to carry out its project.
The Coup de cœur component was added to promote organizations in the community and provide them with financial support for their projects. “Year after year, we see the drive and commitment of community organizations and their immense desire to contribute to the well-being of the population. By allowing them to participate in this initiative, we’re giving them the opportunity to fully play their role and thus make an even greater impact for our fellow citizens,” said General Manager Pierre Raymond at the launch.
