There to insure your bike at its real value
Some of our home insurance policies include unlimited coverage for your bike. But if coverage isn’t included in your policy, you can always add an endorsement to insure your bike at its real value. The endorsement gives you a lower deductible than with your home insurance policy and you can insure your bike for its replacement value, taxes and accessories included. Some restrictions apply.
Don’t hesitate to contact your insurance representative for more information.
Your bike is valuable, protect it!
Here are some handy tips to minimize the risk of bike theft.
Get a good lock
A top-quality lock is worth the investment! The danger of getting caught is the strongest deterrent for theft. Poor quality locks can be broken in seconds.
Reduce the space between the lock and the bike
This makes it difficult for thieves to get a tool in between the lock and the bike.
Lock your bike securely
You should lock the wheels and frame to a solid, fixed object—ideally a bike rack.
Have your bike engraved
Engraving is available at police stations and makes it easier to identify your bike.
Document the purchase of your bike
Keep the receipt for your bike and any valuable parts or accessories. Be sure to record the serial number for identification purposes in case of theft.
