“The In the Heart of Your Community program was particularly popular this year,” said Anne Vaillancourt, General Manager of Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches. “We received many requests for support from our insured members and we realize that the needs of the community are growing. Our Board of Directors is proud to support these 9 organizations and to make a significant contribution to the community.”

In an open call for projects from March 7 to May 31, 2024, the mutual insurance company’s insured members were invited to submit initiatives that would benefit the community. Voting took place between May 8 and July 22, 2024, after which the Board of Directors distributed the funds to all eligible projects. The Coup de cœur project that received the most votes will also receive a one-page advertorial in a weekly newspaper of their choice. The three Coup de coeur organizations for 2024 – western sector are:

  • Huntingdon Farmers Market – “Mobilité du marché fermier du comté de Huntingdon” project to take the Huntingdon County Farmers’ Market on the road
