Québec City, April 17, 2024 – Having just launched the new 2024–2027 Strategic Plan, one of whose goals is to accelerate transformation, Promutuel Insurance is restructuring its management team.
The organization is stepping up its transformation initiatives even as it seeks to revolutionize the employee and applicant experience. This created a need to pump more energy into both efforts.
Geneviève Hamel therefore becomes Senior Vice-President, Transformation and Culture. She’ll continue to head up the Transformation Office and all initiatives relating to business and administrative process optimization, organizational culture, the Continuous Improvement Expertise Centre, and change management.
With Geneviève’s move, Isabel Portelance takes over Human Resources and becomes Vice-President, Human Capital. She therefore joins the CEO’s office team. Isabel arrived at Promutuel Insurance just over two years ago, and since then her talent and human resource management expertise have been on display time and time again, and her achievements are legion.

Appointment of the Vice-President, Legal Affairs
The CEO also appointed François Paradis in the position of Vice-President, Legal and Corporate Affairs. Élise Poulin, our Senior Vice-President, Legal and Corporate Affairs and Secretary General of the Board, will be retiring on May 1.
That means that François also moves to the CEO’s Office and will take part in Groupe Promutuel Board meetings together with Véronique Duval, who takes over as Secretary General.
François graduated from Université Laval with an LLB, International Profile, and is a member of the Québec Bar. He brings to the table 18 years of experience in business law and mergers and acquisitions. He has been with Promutuel Insurance as Senior Manager, Business and Transaction Law since October 2022. Before joining Promutuel Insurance, he logged seven years with La Capitale Financial Group (now Beneva) where he was responsible for managing and closing multiple business and commercial transactions and involved in complex contract negotiations.

Élise can retire with pride in all she’s accomplished and in her proven commitment to our organization.”
