Promutuel Insurance congratulates the winner of the Mérite Promutuel Assurance de la prévention award
Québec City, October 16, 2015 — At the 2015 regional awards gala of Ordre national du mérite agricole held today in Boucherville, Promutuel Insurance was pleased to announce that Les Serres Lefort has won this year’s Mérite Promutuel Assurance de la prévention award.
Of all the businesses that applied, Les Serres Lefort stood out for its prevention initiatives. The Sainte-Clotilde company specializes in growing hothouse vegetables. Having earned the most points for safety on the farm, Les Serres Lefort also takes the honours for the entire province, and will receive a trophy during a ceremony on November 6 at Québec National Assembly. Each year, the contest celebrates the expertise of a Québec region, with Montérégie featured for 2015.
“I heartily congratulate Marie-Josée Lebire and Sylvain Lefort, the operators of Serres Lefort, who have clearly made prevention a top priority. Promutuel Insurance is very proud to be a major sponsor of the contest for a twenty-third consecutive year. Recognizing the dedication and talent of Québec’s farmers is absolutely essential,” said Omer Bouchard, chair of Promutuel Insurance’s board of directors.
The Mérite Promutuel Assurance de la prévention award, established in 1993, recognizes a company’s efforts in workplace safety and prevention. Prevention on farms has always been highly valued at Promutuel Insurance.
