Promutuel Insurance: the first insurer in Québec to offer a combined quote online
Québec City, December 3, 2014 —Promutuel Insurance is excited to announce the rollout of a brand new feature on its website earlier this week, giving all Québecers the option to get a single quote for both their home and car insurance. Promutuel Insurance is the first insurer to offer a combined online quote in the Québec insurance marketplace, in response to consumers’ needs for faster, more flexible options when shopping around for insurance.
«“By opting to fast-track the rollout of the combined quote on our website, we have chosen to create a direct and positive impact for consumers. This new feature will allow customers to get a quote, including all the discounts they are entitled to for their home and car insurance, in less than fifteen minutes,” said Jonathan Pollender, Vice-President of Marketing and Business Development. Many insurers offer online quotes through their websites, but their platforms require users to submit separate quote requests for different types of insurance, making the process more time-consuming.
“We took this step ahead of the market to help consumers shop around for their insurance policies more effectively. It can be hard to find the time these days to shop around for insurance. Our goal was to find a solution to make things easier and save people time,” added Mr. Pollender. The new online quote module was rolled out along with further improvements to Promutuel’s website, such as a more user-friendly platform, more intuitive data entry and new icons to enhance comprehension.
Another new feature coming next week
Also with a view to meeting consumers’ needs, on December 8 Promutuel Insurance will be launching a new blog to explain many of the ins and outs of insurance. “People find it hard sometimes, and understandably so, to understand their insurance. We wanted to explain some of the terms in plain language and make some of the more complex ideas easier to grasp,” explained Mr. Pollender. The new blog will also be a platform for Promutuel Insurance to write about various topics of current interest.
