Donation to the Drummondville Cégep Foundation

Thanks to a generous partnership between our mutual and the Drummondville Cégep Foundation, yesterday we inaugurated the Promutuel Insurance IT Laboratory. A plaque to mark the occasion was proudly unveiled as part of the ribbon cutting event!
In January 2020, Drummondville Cégep announced it was adding a program on financial and insurance services practices. Promutuel Insurance Centre-Sud pledged a donation of $25,000 over five years and became the main program partner. The state-of-the-art Promutuel Insurance IT Laboratory will train tomorrow’s workforce to meet the needs of local businesses and will help keep the insurance industry moving forward for years to come. Now students have access to a classroom with all the bells and whistles and a practice room with mirrored glass. The spaces recreate a real-life work environment as closely as possible.
In addition to the upgraded facilities, the partnership also gives students better employment prospects thanks to a direct recruitment program for jobs and internships. What’s more, new scholarships have been set up to support students in the financial and insurance services program.
