Canada Post: gradual return to postal services
We invite you to sign up for Online Policy so you can access your policies, certificates, and other insurance documents online at any time. This will prevent any delays in contacting us or in paying your insurance premium.
Due to the different measures set up to limit the impact of the strike, you may receive your insurance documents more than once. We’re sorry and we thank you for your understanding.
*Please note that, for the moment, the Online Policy is only available for car and home insurance policies.
If you are insured through a brokerage firm, please contact your broker.
What to do while waiting for Canada Post to resume operations?
Insurance policy renewal
If your insurance policy expires in the coming weeks, contact your Mutual insurance company or your insurance broker to find out what will change. The person in charge of your file will suggest ways for you to retrieve important documents, for instance by signing up for Online Policy.
Premium payment
It is your responsibility to continue making your premium payment, as scheduled in your contract, to keep your insurance policy in effect.
Payment options include:
- Preauthorized payments through your bank (contact your Mutual insurance company to sign up)
- Paying at your financial institution
- Paying in person at a Mutual insurance company or Insurance broker office
Claims filing
For claims, talk to the claims adjuster handling your file. They’ll follow up regarding necessary documents, claims payments, and everything in between.
You can communicate with your Mutual insurance company by phone, email, or fax at any time. You’ll find all the contact info here.
