Promutuel Insurance's Centraide Workplace Campaign

Record involvment this year: $172,000 raised to support those in need

Thanks to the generosity and solidarity of employees at its head office, Promutuel Insurance is proud to announce that its latest Centraide Workplace Campaign has raised a record $79,961 in direct donations. At a time when community organizations everywhere are under pressure to do more for more people, Promutuel Insurance decided to give more. In addition to matching employee donations as it normally does, it also made an additional contribution to the Centraide Critical Impact Fund, for a total donation of $172,000.

“We are very proud of this outpouring of generosity. Promutuel Insurance team members embody the values of our organization. The results of the Centraide 2023 campaign are a testament to their commitment to helping those who need it most. Bravo and thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the employees who helped make sure no one gets left behind,” said Geneviève Fortier, CEO.

Most of the funds will be distributed to Centraide Québec and Chaudière-Appalaches, which supports more than 225 community organizations in their mission to fight poverty, exclusion, and social inequality. Based on where the donors live, a total of $44,333 will also be given to Centraide of Greater Montreal.

“Again this year, in addition to matching the donations from Federation staff, Promutuel Insurance is stepping up and adding a $10,000 contribution to the Centraide Critical Impact Fund. This Fund supports community organizations that work hard in their communities to ensure everyone can meet their basic needs, which are currently under pressure given the difficult economic landscape, as well as those that have been exacerbated in the wake of the pandemic,” said Geneviève Fortier.

“In the past 30 years, never has the economy been so unstable. Runaway inflation affects the price of groceries, transportation, housing, and more. For thousands of Quebecers who were already being served by the community organizations Centraide supports, it is increasingly difficult to make ends meet. And more and more people are now turning to these organizations for the first time. On behalf of Centraide, I would like to thank Promutuel Insurance and its employees for their tremendous generosity,” said Alexandra Larochelle, Partnership and Development Coordinator at Centraide Québec et Chaudière-Appalaches.

Promutuel Insurance has been holding Centraide workplace campaigns for almost 30 years. Because the company believes it has a duty to be THERE when people need it the most, it makes perfect sense for Promutuel Insurance and its employees to do their bit by generously contributing to the cause.
