Lac en Fête SurlaGo Events
National Holiday – June 23
Lac en fête SurlaGo got underway June 23 on the streets of Lac-Mégantic. From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., the band 1534 was on hand to entertain and set the tone with upbeat Québec folk songs—attendees of all ages couldn’t help but get up and dance. People were also able to order a “blue” meal to celebrate Québec, made from scratch with local products, from one of the three recommended restaurants.
Men’s and Women’s Canada Triathlon – July 4 and 5
Lac en fête SurlaGo also had a sporty component, offering Zumba and yoga classes in the municipalities of Lac-Mégantic, Marston, Piopolis, Woburn, Notre-Dame-des-Bois, La Patrie, Val-Racine, and Chartierville. The classes took place on the main streets of the municipalities that the triathlon passed through.
Traversée Internationale – July 30 to August 1
Lac en fête SurlaGo also supported local artists. The Traversée Internationale descended on the municipalities of Lac-Mégantic, Nantes, Stornoway, Stratford, Saint-Romain, Lambton, Saint-Sébastien, Lac-Drolet, Audet, Saint-Ludger, Saint-Robert, and Frontenac for three days and took over the main streets for celebrations.
