Éric ChampagneSenior Vice-President – Marketing, Sales and Strategic Partnerships |
When there’s a problem to solve, few things are more reassuring than having an engineer/business executive consider the issue from all angles before coming up with a solution.
And that’s exactly what Promutuel Insurance’s Senior Vice-President Marketing, Sales and Strategic Partnerships brings to the table. For every file that comes across his desk, Éric Champagne applies his 360-degree vision and dives deep, leaving no stone unturned and no question unanswered. Armed with all that information, he teases out the best possible approach.
His ability to see what others miss probably comes from having lived all over Québec, from his native Abitibi to Rimouski, Lac Saint-Jean, Montréal, and Trois-Rivières.
Éric is passionate about marketing. Finding partnerships and uncovering ways to add value to the products he brings to market are what spark his creativity. “Marketing an intangible service, seeking out new avenues for development, finding the balance between adequate insurance coverage, a decent price, and an optimal customer experience is the real challenge.”
The person or community at the end of every decision is always foremost in his mind. It’s the type of challenge that gets him out of bed in the morning: finding the path that generates growth for the company and allows members and employees to benefit.
Two things. First, the company’s DNA as a mutual that successfully balances the interests of members with those of collaborators and stakeholders. Second, the determination to act with respect is really in line with my values.
More about Éric...
Why did you choose promutuel insurance?
Two things. First, the company’s DNA as a mutual that successfully balances the interests of members with those of collaborators and stakeholders. Second, the determination to act with respect is really in line with my values.
How do you define being there?
Giving back to society. I’m a big believer in Québec’s social fabric; in coming together to make the province a better place, for all of us.
A quote you live by?
“Either I will find a way, or I will make one.” – Hannibal, General of Carthage, 247 BCE This quote reminds me of the constant need to be imaginative and creative and question every assumption.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I enjoy cooking for my family. Spending quality time with the people I love while making something they’ll enjoy—that’s the good stuff. Not to mention that I make a mean seafood risotto.
Sweet or salty?
I have two vices: sweets and wine. Luckily, I love cycling, so I can indulge in both.
