Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches is proud to announce donations totalling $601,450 for the 4th edition of its In the Heart of Your Community program held in the Chaudière-Appalaches area in spring 2024. The funds will go to support community projects led by 27 local organizations. A full list of projects receiving support is available here and in the appendix to this news release.
“The In the Heart of Your Community program was particularly popular this year,” said Anne Vaillancourt, General Manager of Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches. “We received many requests for support from our insured members and we realize that the needs of the community are growing. Our Board of Directors is proud to support these 27 organizations and to make a significant contribution to the community.”
In an open call for projects from March 7 to April 18, 2024, the mutual insurance company’s insured members were invited to submit initiatives that would benefit the community. Voting took place between May 15 and May 26, 2024, after which the Board of Directors distributed the funds to all eligible projects. The Coup de cœur project that received the most votes will also receive a one-page advertorial in a weekly newspaper of their choice. The 2024 Coup de coeur winning foundation is:

Over the four editions of the program held in the Chaudière-Appalaches area (2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024), Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches has donated a total of $1,920,247 to the community. This major contribution actively and concretely supports the community and is in keeping with the Promutuel Insurance values of mutual assistance and cooperation.
